As we approach the
half-yearly assessment for Class 10 students, St. Joseph’s School, Naini, in
collaboration with its skilled staff and the visionary Principal, Rev. Fr.
Melwin Wilson D'Souza, organized a three-day Orientation Program from 16th to
18th September 2025, for the parents and students who will be appearing for the
CBSE Class 10 Board assessments for the session 2025-26.
After a warm welcome, the
orientation was led by the Principal, Rev. Fr. Melwin Wilson D’Souza, who
shared a PowerPoint presentation that highlighted the key aspects of healthy
parent-child relationships, strategies to overcome exam stress, the relevance
of self-study, punctuality, digital safety, social media distractions, and the
importance of the APAAR ID.
The Orientation Program
also featured the CBSE ‘List of Candidates’ details verification, discussions
on the significance of APAAR IDs for each student, the DigiLocker, the two-exam
policy from the session 2025-26, the mock tests, and the importance of
Pre-Boards.
The role of parents,
teachers, and students was discussed, with emphasis on their collaborative
effort. Parents' queries regarding CBSE guidelines and the upcoming Board
assessment structure were addressed by the teachers. The importance of the
APAAR ID was clarified, specifically to eliminate the 'dummy school culture.'
Additionally, under general
instructions, the significance of Formative Assessments, projects, and the
mandatory requirement of at least 75% attendance to ensure academic discipline
were discussed, along with the need to avoid procrastination. The Principal
also requested parents to ensure a healthy environment at home by providing
academic support, avoiding negative remarks or peer comparisons, and promoting
the importance of good sleep and a healthy lifestyle.
During the program, the
primary emphasis was on balancing self-study with adequate rest for full
rejuvenation.
At the conclusion, all
participants were reminded that while Board
Exams are important, they are not the end of the journey. The focus should
be on personal growth and valuing success.
The Orientation Program was both enlightening
and motivating for all involved.
