A special assembly was organized to commemorate the birth anniversaries of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, and former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri.
St. Joseph’s School, Naini, celebrated both Gandhi Jayanti and Shastri Jayanti with great enthusiasm through a series of presentations that reflected the philosophies of truth, non-violence, and sacrifice.

Students presented thought-provoking monologues and speeches highlighting the lives, principles, and contributions of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri. The event emphasized the importance of cleanliness, simplicity, and selflessness values upheld by these two great leaders.

On this auspicious occasion, the Principal, Rev. Fr. Melwin Wilson D’Souza, delivered an inspirational message in which he praised the two Indian legends, expressed his gratitude, and encouraged everyone to inculcate the values they exemplified.

 Cleanliness Drive:

As part of the celebrations, a cleanliness drive was organized in and around the school premises. Students, teachers, and staff members actively participated in the initiative, working together to ensure a clean and hygienic environment.

The cadets of the 6 UP Girls BN NCC and 1 UP Naval Unit NCC also actively participated in a cleanliness drive at St. Joseph’s School. Under the guidance of their ANOs and PI staff, the cadets undertook various cleanliness activities and spread awareness about the importance of cleanliness and hygiene, echoing the values and teachings of Mahatma Gandhi.

This joint initiative not only contributed to the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan but also instilled in the cadets a spirit of social responsibility, discipline, and community service.

The event concluded with all cadets taking a pledge to continue promoting cleanliness and to remain active contributors towards building a clean and healthy environment.
