The morning assembly of Class V-Iris was conducted on the theme "Generosity" with great enthusiasm under the supervision
of the class teacher, Sr. Kusum Lata. The assembly was well-anchored, beginning
with the Lord's Prayer and culminating in a beautiful skit presentation that
successfully conveyed the true meaning of generosity.
Building on the theme that beautifully
reflects humanity, the Principal, Rev. Fr. Melwin Wilson D’Souza, narrated a
story from the Bible (Mark 12:41-44 and Luke 21:1-4), when Jesus honoured the
generosity of a poor elderly widow who donated two copper coins (her entire
livelihood) as charity to the temple treasury. Jesus remarked that she had
given more than any rich person because she displayed the true essence of
generosity and trust in God.
He further emphasized that we must all be
thankful to God for whatever we have. While we are always ready to receive with
open hands, we must also be willing to give with open hearts. If the Almighty
has blessed us, we should exhibit the qualities of benevolence and kindness to
all.
