On October 14, 2025, SJS Naini conducted an
awareness program on 'Menstrual Awareness,' focusing on the health and hygiene
of a girl child.
The program was
divided into two batches: classes VII to XI and IV to VI. It mainly focused on
Menstrual Hygiene, myths about periods, and how it can be dealt with patience
and support.
The Chief Guest, Dr.
Amita Tripathi (MBBS, MS), a renowned Gynaecologist, was welcomed by Principal
Rev. Fr. Melwin Wilson D'Souza and Sr. Tracy, DSH.
In his welcome
speech, Principal Rev. Fr. Melwin Wilson D'Souza praised the organizing
committee for raising and discussing such a sensitive issue. He stated,
"Education will make us aware of ourselves," and emphasized that the
psychosomatic problems prevalent in society are caused by a lack of awareness.
He highlighted the importance of education.
The session was
informative and successful.
