    :     St. Joseph’s School, Naini celebrated Hindi Diwas on September 9, 2025, by organizing a series of engaging programmes featuring speeches, poetry recitations by KG students, dance performances, and a discourse on Hindi punctuation and the life of poetess Subhadra Kumari Chauhan.The morning assembly was conducted by the Hindi Association, which aims to instill a love for our official language and its rich cultural heritage in today’s generation.The celebration was graced by the former Principal, Rev. Fr. Joseph Sagayanathan, as the Chief Guest of the event. He was honoured with a shawl as a token of respect and gratitude for his valuable contributions to the institution.The Chief Guest, Rev. Fr. Joseph Sagayanathan, appreciated the efforts of SJS Naini and the Hindi Association, and congratulated the Hindi Association President, Srishti Dubey of Class 11, for her dedication and sincerity towards her responsibilities. He also praised the school choir and the students who played the guitar and synthesizer in a beautiful musical symphony. The Principal, Rev. Fr. Melwin Wilson D’Souza, extended his heartfelt appreciation to Rev. Fr. Joseph Sagayanathan for being the Chief Guest and gracing the occasion with his presence.

    :     Date: 8th SeptemberTopic: Civic Sense – The Soul of a Civilized Society The assembly was conducted by students of Class 9-D, with anchors Ghaniya and Aryana leading the program. It began with prayers (Lord’s Prayer and prayer to St. Joseph) followed by the pledge. Birthday celebrants were also greeted with a song.A thought for the day was presented by Kavya, who emphasized that civic sense is not just about following rules, but about respecting people and surroundings. This was explained in both English and Hindi.Next, Vaishnavi and her team performed a short, humorous yet insightful skit with characters Student A, Student B, and a Dustbin. The skit highlighted the importance of proper waste disposal and respecting cleanliness.Shristi concluded the skit by reminding everyone that civic sense means being responsible citizens, keeping our environment clean, respecting others, and following rules.The class teacher, Mr. Suraj Singh, further explained that small acts like maintaining classroom cleanliness and mindful behavior in public places contribute to a better society.The school Principal Rev. Fr. Melwin Wilson D’Souza also addressed the students, praising Class 9-D and citing Japan as an example of how civic sense among citizens can make a country clean, advanced, and disciplined. The assembly ended with the national anthem, paying tribute to the nation.

    :     Matthew 5:21-26 focuses on the importance of inner righteousness and reconciliation, extending beyond the literal interpretation of the sixth commandment. Jesus emphasises that anger violates the God's law. Today's assembly (July 23, 2025) was conducted by class X-A on the topic 'Anger'.  Selected students conducted it effortlessly from explaining the definition of anger and its types, to the elaboration of the topic by the class teacher. It clearly stated that anger is not a dark emotion rather, the strongest that requires to channelize in a proper way so that it turns out to be a problem solving constructive energy. The assembly presentation was appreciated by the principal and applauded by all.  In his address to the morning assembly, Rev. Fr. Melvin D'souza, emphasised on the positive channelling of anger, there upon making it a great reason of a win.

The assembly ground today witnessed the magnificence of AI and Information Technology, as a part of education in schools.  A well articulated questionnaire, persuasive debate and a well received skit on the same topic was picked up with applauds. At the end conclusively, we all were well informed about the pros and cons of internet, AI tool as a help and many more interesting topics, followed by the Principal’s insightful word and appreciation.

    :     On the occasion of Van Mahotsav, the Environment Club of St. Joseph’s School, Naini, conducted a vibrant and meaningful special assembly to spread awareness about the importance of trees and environmental conservation. The club members, dressed in shades of green, created an inspiring atmosphere with thought-provoking posters on the theme “Plant Trees, Save Trees.” Manha of Class 2 delivered a heart-touching speech, while the members of the club presented a melodious song titled “Save Trees, Save Future,” capturing the spirit of the day. Addressing the students, the Principal emphasized the value of trees as the 'lungs of the Earth’ and explained the alarming environmental crises caused by deforestation. She appreciated the sincere efforts of Anushka Ma’am, Salma Ma’am, and Sabiya Ma’am for guiding the young environmentalists. The assembly concluded with the National Anthem, followed by a joyful plantation drive by the tiny tots of SJS — a small yet significant step towards a greener tomorrow.
